Seattle-based filmmaker LYNN SHELTON directed her first film We Go Way Back<\/em> (2006)\u00a0in her late-thirties after being inspired by a lecture with French director Claire Denis <\/a>where Denis\u00a0informed the audience she hadn’t made her first film until she was forty proving it was possible.<\/p>\n

Shelton has continued\u00a0to write and direct\u00a0indie features including\u00a0Humpday<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(2009) and\u00a0Your Sister’s Sister<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(2011) which have both been\u00a0remade by French filmmakers.<\/p>\n
