LISA CHOLODENKO began her work in film as an Assistant Editor (post-production assistant) on\u00a0Boy’z in the Hood\u00a0<\/em>(1991) and then went on to get her MFA from Columbia.<\/p>\n

Her first full-length film\u00a0High Art\u00a0<\/em>(1998) featured Ally Sheedy who was\u00a0part of a group of actors from the 1980s known as the “Brat Pack.” Cholodenko’s The Kids Are All Right<\/a><\/em> (2010)\u00a0 about a lesbian couple’s relationship with their children’s sperm donor was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar the year after Bigelow won for\u00a0Hurt Locker\u00a0<\/em>(2009).<\/p>\n
