After receiving an MFA in filmmaking from AFI, SUSANNA STYRON directed her first feature film\u00a0Shadrach\u00a0<\/em>(1998) based on a short story written by her father, the famous novelist William Styron<\/p>\n

She went on to direct for television and while wading through the difficulties of development that is so often associated with narrative fiction films she directed a documentary with an incredible cast of real life heroes from the 9\/11 terrorist attacks in New York.<\/p>\n
