Part of the worldwide Directed by Women Celebration – bringing the global film community together for a film-viewing party appreciating an incredible diversity of films. September 1-30, 2018.

Here’s our trailer from last year’s celebration:

During this celebration, film lovers will gather together in their communities around the world for film screenings and guest filmmaker visits, all designed to focus attention on women film directors and their work.

Ours will take place in New York City. In previous years we have screened at Ryan’s Daughter on the Upper East Side and this year we are moving into more of a traditional screening arena to showcase the films at Videology . Click here for a blog post on our first annual event!

The event is curated by Jennifer Dean and Eric Rice who are working on a documentary celebrating the history of female filmmakers and exploring the challenges they face.

Great chance to network with other women in film and simply have fun watching movies!

For those who are able to attend there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers after the event.
