As the first woman to win a Tony for Best Director for a musical with The Lion King it is no surprise that JULIE TAYMOR’s films are theatrical and visually elaborate.

Her first theatrical narrative feature film was an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Titus starring Anthony Hopkins
