Abby Epstein

ABBY EPSTEIN directed for the theater for a number of years before adding documentary filmmaking to her repertoire. She formed a theatre company in Chicago (Roadworks Productions) and then went on to form Ricki & Abby Films with Ricki Lake.

Epstein’s first documentary Until the Violence Stops (2003) stemmed from her work on Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues.

Leigh Janiak

LEIGH JANIAK co-wrote  her first feature Honeymoon (2014) with her friend Phil Graziadei and it premiered at SXSW. Producer Patrick Baker had hired Janiak to work for the production company he was helming and two years later read the script and signed on to produce.

Janiak has gone on to direct for television and is attached to direct a remake of The Craft.

RICKI STERN and ANNIE SUNDBERG met while students at Dartmouth and have since gone on to direct several documentaries together, a reality series following Anna Wintour’s and Diane Von Furstenberg’s Fashion Fund competition and have formed a company, Break Thru Films.

Their documentary The Trials of Daryl Hunt (2006) was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. Their latest endeavor Marathon: The Patriots’ Day Bombing is part of the HBO slate of films announced for this year.
