JOAN CHEN is most well known as an actress on iconic shows such as David Lynch’s Twin Peaks but she has also directed films – Xiu Xiu: The Sent-Down Girl (1998) and Autum in New York (2000).

She won Best Director for her film Xiu Xiu: The Sent-Down Girl (1998) at the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards.

RICKI STERN and ANNIE SUNDBERG met while students at Dartmouth and have since gone on to direct several documentaries together, a reality series following Anna Wintour’s and Diane Von Furstenberg’s Fashion Fund competition and have formed a company, Break Thru Films.

Their documentary The Trials of Daryl Hunt (2006) was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. Their latest endeavor Marathon: The Patriots’ Day Bombing is part of the HBO slate of films announced for this year.
