LYNN HERSHMAN LEESON is most well known for her work as a visual and performance artist but she has also directed several narrative fiction films starring Tilda Swinton – and a feature length documentary about women working in the visual arts, !Women Art Revolution (2010).

Her first feature film Conceiving Ada (1997) premiered at Sundance where she also screened subsequent films, including her hybrid film Strange Culture (2007) which was also exhibited on the Sundance Channel.

She went on to write for film and television and has directed for the hit comedy series New Girl. Her latest film directorial endeavor, The Meddler (2015) stars Susan Sarandon.

Her film Silver Skies (2015) had Dennis Farina attached who Rodriguez had worked with on Law & Order and eh passed away two weeks before shooting. She dedicated the finished film to him.
