Her feature film Dukhtar (2014) premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.

CHRISTINA KALLAS’ feature film 42 Seconds of Happiness (2016) was an immersive experience for the actors, rehearsed for a year and a half and shot in five days. It is now on the festival circuit and will be screened at the Orlando Film Festival this month. She has also been nominated for the Emerging Director Award of the New Filmmakers Forum at this year’s St. Louis International Film Festival.

Kallas teaches at both Columbia and The New School in New York City. She has written several books about the art of screenwriting and film.

Maya Stark and Adi Lavy

ADI LAVY is a documentarian who is recognized internationally for her photography. She attended Columbia University and the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. MAYA STARK also studied at SVA and has edited both narrative fiction and documentary films.

Stark and Lavy co-directed the feature film documentary Sun Kissed (2012) which can be viewed on PBS.

TANYA WEXLER got her MFA at Columbia before making her first feature Finding North (1998). After her second feature it took ten years for her to make the critically acclaimed Hysteria (2011). Keanu Reeves is slated to star in her next film  Replicas.

After engaging in a twitter discussion with Colin Treverrow about his misguided comment that women simply aren’t interested in directing studio films, according to reports Wexler met up with him in person to open a dialogue of more than 140 characters concerning the issue.
