Her narrative fiction feature Festival of Lights (2010) tells the story of a young woman from NYC going to Guyana to discover the truth about her family’s past.

AMI CANAAN MANN is the daughter of Michael Mann (the director who made a point of seeking out a woman director to work on his television series Miami Vice and hired Jan Eliasberg to help put the action on the screen). She grew up in Indiana with her mom but has succeeded int he world of Hollywood directing television and making feature films.

Mann began as a writer, writing for TV shows such as NYPD Blue.  Her film Jackie & Ryan screened at the Venice Film Festival in 2014.
