BARBARA STEPANSKY received a Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting. She has studied filmmaking at UCLA, USC and AFI.

Her first feature film Hurt (2009) was a thriller released on DVD by Monterey Media.

Bite-sized blog post: Alexandra Roxo

ALEXANDRA ROXO created an directed a documentary series for Vice Every Woman: Life as a Truck Stop Stripper (2014).

Roxo’s new series Be Here Nowish was developed with Natalie Leite with whom she started a company, Purple Milk, so that they both could collaborate in producing and directing work.

Bite-sized blog post: Liza Johnson

LIZA JOHNSON has a background in Visual Arts and received her BA from Williams College and an MFA from UC San Diego.

She directed several shorts and video installations before directing her first American feature Return (2011) which was nominated for several Independent Spirit Awards and starred Linda Cardellini.

Bite-sized blog post: Vicky Jenson

VICKY JENSON was the first woman to direct an Oscar winning Animated Feature with the DreamWorks film Shrek.

She also has directed over 40 commercial spots with Anonymous Content – and at the time she worked with them she was the only woman they represented.

Bite-sized blog post: Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo

AGNIESZKA WOJTOWICZ-VOSLOO directed the short film Pâté (2001) which premiered at Sundance while still a student at NYU.

Through that success she got an agent and began writing the feature film After Life (2009) which she ended up directing with Liam Neeson and Christina Ricci.

ALEXANDRA SHIVA’s most recent documentary about autism How to Dance in Ohio (2015) premiered at Sundance and was distributed by HBO.

Shiva formed her company Gidalya Pictures while her making her first feature documentary Bombay Eunuch (2001).

DELILA VALLOT is an actor and dancer who has directed both a feature length fiction film, the thriller Tunnel Vision (2013) and a documentary Can You Dig This (2015).

Can You Dig This tells the story of four gardeners making magic with soil in the urban South Central Los Angeles.

LYNNE RAMSAY is slated to direct a film produce by Amazon Studios, You Were Never Really Here (2017).

Her short film Gasman (1996) won her the Cannes Prix du Jury. Her feature Ratcatcher (1999) was then screened at Cannes.
